ANDREA THOMPSON

Andrea Thompson is an award-winning journalist and broadcaster. As the Editor-in-Chief of Marie Claire UK between 2019 and 2026, she led the brand’s transformation from a print title to a digital-first platform overseeing the the editorial vision, partnerships and strategy across all content pillars including events.

With 25 years’ media experience, Andrea has built a distinguished career editing and writing for some of the UK’s most respected media organisations, including The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The Daily Mail, Channel 4, Glamour and Grazia. 

 

Recognised for both her leadership and advocacy, Andrea was recently honoured by the Parliamentary Society for Arts, Fashion and Sports at the House of Commons. She was also honoured in the 2026 Powerlist, celebrating the UK’s most influential Black British talent, and was named one of the UK’s Top 50 Trailblazers by WeAreTheCity for championing gender equality. In 2025 she served as Chair of the British Society of Magazine Editors and continues to sit on the committee leading the organisation’s diversity, equity and inclusion work.
